Handful — Privacy Policy Effective date: 4/14/26
Handful is a personal focus tool. We collect only what we need to make it work, we don't sell your data, and we don't show you ads.
What we collect
When you create an account and use Handful, we collect:
Account information — your email address and a hashed password, used to authenticate you.
Task data — the tasks you create, complete, or delete. This is stored so your list persists across devices and sessions.
Body doubling session data — when you schedule or participate in a session, we store session timing and the account connections required to make the feature work.
Basic usage data — crash reports and basic diagnostics to help us find and fix bugs. This data is not linked to your identity.
We do not collect your location, contacts, microphone input, or any data not listed above.
How we use it
We use the data we collect to:
Provide and sync your task list across sessions
Enable body doubling and matching you with a session partner and notifying both parties
Maintain your account and authenticate you securely
Diagnose crashes and improve app stability
We do not use your data to serve ads, build behavioral profiles, or sell to third parties. Ever.
Third-party services
Handful uses Supabase for authentication and data storage. Your account and task data is stored on Supabase's infrastructure. Supabase is SOC 2 compliant and does not use your data for any purpose outside of providing database services to us. You can review Supabase's privacy policy at supabase.com/privacy.
We do not use any advertising SDKs, analytics platforms that track individual behavior, or social login providers.
Data retention
Your data is retained for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, your task data and account information are permanently deleted from our systems within 30 days. To request account deletion, contact us at the address below.
Your rights
You can, at any time:
Request a copy of the data we hold about you
Request correction of inaccurate data
Request deletion of your account and associated data
Withdraw consent and stop using the app
Children's privacy
Handful is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.
Changes to this policy
If we make material changes to this policy, we'll notify you in the app before the changes take effect. Continued use of Handful after that point constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
